How in the world can twitter save me money?
This is something I accidentally stumbled upon. I actually signed up for twitter to be able to follow my favorite authors (Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, Vicki Courtney). Then as I searching out couponing blogs, I started following those blogs on twitter. These blogs will “tweet” so much useful information. If something is free, they’ll tweet it. They’ll even tweet blog posts that tell you what products and stores have the best sale+coupon matchups. (And they’ll tell you where to find the coupon!) This saves a ton of time!
One time, one of the blogs I follow tweeted that Friday was “Free Flavor Friday” for Coffee Mate. Coffee Mate was giving away a free bottle of creamer for the first 200,000 people on their facebook page. I hopped on during that time and was one of the first 200,000, but I got much more than that. After the allotment was used, they started letting you print out coupons for Coffee Mate. I got 1 buy one get one free coupon and three $0.75 off coupons.
Imagine how excited I was when Walgreens was advertising their Coffee Mate Creamer on sale for $1.50 the next week. I was able to get creamer ($1.98 at Wal-Mart) for $0.75 apiece!
Once you’re on twitter, be sure and follow bibsandaprons (@jillmcsheehy) and I’ll be passing the deals I find onto you as well.
I especially like www.moneysavingmom.com, www.faithfulprovisions.com, and www.bestcouponblogs.com, but there are also many more!
